Hey there! Sorry it's been a few weeks since we posted, we've been keeping busy. Last Monday was Family Day (it's great, we get a statutory holiday here in BC to celebrate families,) unfortunately, Daddy had to work a half day, so Mommy took the kids out. It was a miserable rainy day so we decided to check out the Extreme Air Park in Langley, an industrial storage space outfitted with nearly wall-to-wall trampolines! When we first got there Jordy was anxious, he was whining and tugging on Mom's arm saying he wanted to go home. Good ol' Cygni though, she saw other kids jumping and she could barely wait for us to pay and go in. If it hadn't been for her enthusiasm I may have relented to Jordan's whining and packed it in. However, with little C excited by the prospect of jumping I told Jordan that even though he was nervous and scared, I wanted him to at least try something new, and if he didn't like it he could sit down. I wasn't sure I had made the right decision 10 mins later when I paid the guy (gasp!) $55 for all of us to jump (or possibly not...!) But once we locked up our belongings and put on our special trampoline socks we headed to the trampolines and the second Jordan set foot on one his face lit up. THANKFULLY! We paid for an hour of bouncing and that was more than enough for Mommy, Jordan was asking for more trampoline at the end of an hour... of course! Life lesson #12: try something new, you might like it.
The week before, Jordy said he wanted to go skating, so Dad obliged. It was to be Cygni's first time on skates, so we all bundled up and headed out. Turns out, our little girl was not such a fan. After about 5 minutes on the ice, she declared she was, "All done!" so Mommy took her to the rink grill for mini corn-dogs. This was a little more her speed. Jordan had a blast though and skated long stretches to Daddy using the skate trainer on his own.
she said, "It's kinda like a lollipop!"
The boys were so inspired by their visit to the rink that they played a
little ball hockey in the street at home, right after!
CAR!!!
GAME ON!!!
Check out these sweet moves!
Another Day we played around at Crash Crawly's.
Cygni loves to jump! Here she is mid-air!
Also, Mommy baked some chocolate cupcakes for Valentine's Day. Hilarity ensued...
Jordan has a look through his treasure trove of Valentines from school mates!
And the kids open up a Valentine treat from Mommy & Daddy
Cygni says, "Happy Valentime!"
Hope yours was great.
