Summer's a-comin'!

So, as you can see, we recently had an incident!  Jordy decided to play with the knobs on the stove, resulting in a melted snack-trap!  This melted half-way away in a matter of seconds! So, now we keep items on the stovetop to a minimum and the knobs stay in a jar until they are needed!  Darn curious kids!

Chris likes to say that we think a few more systems have been turned on in recent weeks when it comes to Cygni.  She has a LOT of words!  She says Mommy, Daddy, Jordan, waffle, apple, cookie, Nanny, please, thank-you and a host of others clear as a bell.  On top of that, her personality and sense of humour is starting to shine through.  And she is so capable!  She runs and climbs and is just getting to be such a little grown up!  We snapped these pics at breakfast last weekend.  Doesn't she look like a teenager, the way she's holding her straw?  She is growing up at rate that seems faster than J-man did.

May first was Aunt Jo's birthday, so we decided to visit her out in Pitt Meadows and bring some celebratory cake-pops for the occasion.  She absolutely adores the kids and says that someday, Jordan's smile is going to break hearts all over town.  Mommy is inclined to agree!

It was a beautiful sunny evening and so we chose to hang out at a local park to play and enjoy the sun.  Cygni made her first attempt at blowing the seeds off a Dandelion blowball.  She was initially intrigued, but it was an unsuccessful endeavour:

Jordan is doing great, he is putting together lots of sentences and surprises us all the time by the things he says, one of our favourite things is when he declares, "I like that song!" when he hears something he likes.  He is quite the spacial thinker as you can see from the way he plays with his action figures.  He lines them up in this fashion every day, not sure what the deal is with the obsequious construction workers, but there is definitely a story going on in his head!

And today Mommy took a little time to remember Grandpa Cam and ride the Big Bike for the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.  She raised $275!  Thanks everyone who supported her effort!

And afterwards the RCMP escort let me sit on HIS big bike for a photo-op!  Fun!
