Happy Birthday, Jordy!

Similarly to last year, Jordy's birthday was more than a day-long event.  We started out by Celebrating at pre-school on Thursday, with cupcakes!  Jordy got to wear a fancy birthday hat and was the Special Helper all day at school.  When we got back home there was a birthday card for him from Papa Larry and Aunt Virginia, he liked seeing the $20 bill inside!

Mommy spent a few nights all week preparing a special cake for the big party on Saturday, above is a sneak peek....

We asked guests who were attending the big show on Saturday to skip bringing presents and to make a donation to DCS instead.  We really have benefitted so much from all the services provided to us over the last four years by DCS, and thought this may be our last opportunity to give back and they need every penny they can get.  In light of that, we thought Friday would be a good night for present opening from our nearest and dearest who just couldn't resist giving presents!  If YOU would like to make a donation to DCS, you can do so here.

Got some stylin' shades and some good ol' greenbacks from G-pa D!

Silly Mommy also got a variety of sunglasses and some other great stuff from G-pa D!  He obviously knows how hard it is to find/keep a pair of sunglasses in this crazy household!

And trying out his golf set below.

Nice haul, Jordy!
Thank you everyone for the sweet gifts!

This year we decided we wanted to invite all Jordy's pre-school friends and there just isn't enough room for a passel of kids in our little house, so we took the mayhem to Koko's Activity Centre so the kids could run free, climb, jump, ride and slide to their hearts content.  The kids absolutely loved it and Mom and Dad admit, it sure is nice to have someone else clean up the mess!
And here is the Yo Gabba Gabba cake that Mommy worked so hard to make!
She is very proud of it

After-party at home with bubbles!

As you know, Mommy's birthday is the day after J-man's, so Sunday was Mom's Day to celebrate!  Nanny took her out for a pedicure and friends Michelle and Cindi came along to join in the girlie fun!
Very good advice from Aunt Virginia and Papa Larry, which Chris and Deb followed at a lovely restaurant in Vancouver, called La Terrazza.  Mommy had a delicious poached lobster on risotto cake - YUM!

It was such a great weekend! Thank you everyone who helped to make our birthdays special,
we love you!  XXOO
