Daddy's afternoon off!

Mommy's upcoming work week consists of a lot of pm and closing shifts, which means Daddy has to rush home from work (a tiny bit early) in order to pick up the Little Dumer from daycare before they close, so Mommy thought she would treat Daddy to a little sneak preview of Father's Day next weekend by giving Dad the afternoon off. Originally she was thinking of taking the nugget to the Teddy Bear picnic and parade in Coquitlam, but we didn't really wake up in time for that. Then she remembered someone in the Water Babies swim class telling her Thomas the Tank Engine would be in Squamish this weekend, so she looked up details on the 'net and then got ready to head out.

A snack before the excitement begins!

All aboard!

It was a spectacular day! The sun was shining, the sky was blue and the mountains breathtaking! Really, I felt a bit bad for Chris sitting at home in his ginch while we were enjoying this majestic scenic drive! And the Sea to Sky Highway really has become a pleasure to drive since all the Olympic upgrades. We arrived at the Heritage Railway Centre and got to see Thomas and his friends, ride on the White Fox Line - a miniature train, and generally had a load of fun!

Our Day Out with Thomas is almost over
and someone looks a little tired!
