What comes after 7?

So we finally got the Little Dumer's 8 month weight. Funny story actually, since we had to take the cat in for his check-up at the vet's office we just plopped Jordy onto the doggy scale! He is now 20 lbs 6 oz. and 74 cm (29 inches) long, both place him just a titch below the 75th percentile. He is already wearing most of the 12 month clothing we have, and even some 12-18 month stuff too! Big Boy!

He inherited this xylophone from Auntie Linda, and loves banging on it, but....

...can anyone explain why it is labeled '1-2-3-4-5-6-7-i'??!!? LOL

I've got the esoteric answer! My good friend Crista explained our xylophone thus:

1 and 1 are the same note, just different octaves ;) So therefore, it's not 8, it's 1 again - I don't recommend teaching counting using this though. lol. Cute musical instrument!
