Just a little update to let everyone know that Jordy went for his first round of immunizations today and it went as well as can be expected. He cried when the needles went in but after a quick walk around the room, a few consoling pats on the bum, and a few minutes nursing he calmed down and has been pretty happy ever since! We finally got a chance to weigh him and he is 11 lbs., 14.5 oz. which places him in the 50th percentile and means he is bang on where he should be for weight. We also had the nurse help us measure him and he is 23 inches long (I don't think we measured him right last time we tried at home - but measuring babies can be a tricky business!) This measurement is also perfectly average, in the 50th percentile again!
We were supposed to have had Jordan's very first ride on the city bus today to get us to the Public Health Unit, but the damned bus never showed! Jordy and Mommy were at there at least five minutes ahead of schedule and there was still no bus twenty minutes later so we called for a cab. We think the bus got there super early, and as soon as she is done posting this blog Mommy will be e-mailing Translink to complain!
