Half-way Through Our First Week On Our Own

Jordy wearing Mommy's favourite Froggy Jams

him into something else!)
Looking a lot like Daddy!

Standard "chillin' like a villain" pose.
We did not pose him, he does this on his own!

Well, we’re half way through the first week at home without The Big Guy. It hasn’t been bad at all. On Monday we went for a walk up the street to the store and today Nan came by for a visit and then came back again on the way home with Auntie Isabel. Mommy has been getting good enough at multi-tasking whilst breastfeeding, that she can read a book (Just finished Angel’s and Demons and it was very entertaining despite Chris’ disdain for the way Dan Brown plays fast and loose with the science in that novel,) or write thank you notes for the myriad gifts we’ve received for Jordy. The Little Dumer is latched on even now! Hope that doesn’t make anyone feel weird or anything! Since we’re on the subject I may as well share a funny thing I have noticed. I am still shy about nursing around anyone other than family; I find this ridiculous because between the nurses at the hospital and all the other lactation specialists who have not only seen my anatomy, but also unreservedly grabbed a hold of it to cram it into my son’s mouth: I shouldn’t have a single qualm left. Still, here we are. But I digress, we’re having a good week thus far and hope the weather holds out so we can perhaps take another constitutional in the neighbourhood this week.
The epitome of Responsible Parenting. LOL.
