Birthday party for our friend, Nolan

Just a quick update to share from the weekend before we went down to visit family and friends in Oregon, about our visit to Alouette Lake in Golden Ears Provincial Park to celebrate our friend, Nolan's birthday.  Mommy loves Nolan so much that she offered to make the little dude's cake, and decorated it with Tyrone the moose, a character from one of his favourite tv shows, The Backyardigans.  It was a gorgeous warm day on the 8th of July and we were very happy to have the treat of going to this beautiful spot!

Cygni tried some fruit cut up into very small pieces for the first time ever! 

She may be done with the pureed stuff now! 

She loved it, even though it required a costume change....

 Jordan played a bit at the water's edge,

but we soon retreated to a shady spot as it was a very hot day.
