Funnest Weekend Ever

Jordan plays with pebbles at the nearby playground.

We're having a hard time discouraging him from putting them in his mouth!

Daddy and I have discussed it, and this last weekend, was probably one of the most fun of Jordan's little life! It started out on Friday when Mommy's long time friend Clover came out for a visit with her family; Dad, Ira and two kids: Hayden (nearly 4, and Claire 9 months.) Jordan got to play with the baby and learned a lot about sharing toys. He even signed "share" for the first time ever. He had to be cautioned just once or twice to be gentle with Baby Claire, but overall we think he handled Mommy playing and holding another little-one very well.

He can almost slide down the big boy slide on his own, he just needs some help getting up there and someone to make sure he lands safely

We've been big on just letting him roam free in the nearby environs of the house

He likes to explore and pick up treasures that he finds on the ground

Latest thing: boots + not much else!

The stuff of nightmares! He showed Nanny and Mommy

that not only can he get to the first level of the jungle gym on his own,

once he gets to the second he can climb up the bars on the side.

In this photo my hand is ready to catch him,

but I am not touching the little dare-devil at all!

After we said good-bye to the Wier family, Mommy took Jordy to his first ever birthday party. It was Owen's 2nd birthday, and these two boys go back a-ways as their moms were pregnant together and both worked at Shaughnessy Starbucks together. We had to miss Owen's first birthday last year because Jordy was sick, but there was no stopping us this time! As you can see the boys hit it off like they'd never been apart:
Owen greets the Little Dumer with a fierce hug!

Aww! Love!

And you know, nothing makes Jordan happier than playing with balloons, and there was a lot of that! He got to eat yummy party snacks and some delicious homemade chocolate cupcakes. To top it all off after the party was over we got home and Nanny had arrived for a visit. Yes! Nanny is back from Newfoundland and Jordan is super happy to have her. She went with us on an outting to the playground both days and got to see Jordan playing in the pool. She was surprised at how much he loves the water, and even got to see him float while hanging on to the poolside right along with Mom and Dad for the first time ever! Jordan put on quite the show. Visiting kids, birthday parties, Nanny and pool-time? What a wild weekend!

What a fun time was had!
