Monday night after Dad got off BOTH his jobs, we surprised him with a birthday cake and a few friends at the Driver household. It was actually the grand finale of a Birthday Weekend: we spent Saturday at Nanny Mary's having a lamb chop dinner with family friend Linda Scabar, and Nanny's boyfriend, Charlie (out to visit from Newfoundland.) Then on Sunday Mommy and Daddy went to the Keg and enjoyed a leisurely meal, leaving The Little Dumer at home with his first sitter that wasn't someone he is extremely familiar with. Poor Hayley reported that he cried almost the entire time we were gone and finally fell asleep about half an hour before we returned, from what she guessed to be exhaustion!
