Ball's a-rollin'

Once again, thanks everyone who has been keeping up with our blog and sending all your positive thoughts. We do have lots of news but it has been so stinkin' hot here that I find it impossible to hang out in the computer room for more than a few minutes at a time. I will write more when the temperature is cooler, but for now I'll let everyone know that the audiologist had a cancellation last Monday so she was able to see us sooner. She ran her tests and verified that yes the diagnosis is the same, he does have hearing loss, still classified as "mild to moderate" in both ears, although he hears slightly better in his left than his right. He has the hardest time hearing higher frequency sounds (sounds like "tch") which would, indeed, make learning language difficult, and hence the need for hearing aids. Good news is that I just got a call from Selma, the audiologist in New Westminster (where we'll be going from now on,) and she will be able to see us tomorrow to start getting him fitted for his ear molds which means hearing aids soon! YAY! There is so much more to say, but this will have to do for now. Keep checking back!
